Tyler Lawrence’s life has been defined by sports, family, and a deep commitment to helping athletes navigate their careers with confidence. Raised in a family where nearly everyone competed at the collegiate level, Tyler has seen every possible career path for athletes—on the field, in the transfer portal, in professional sports, and beyond.

As a highly recruited quarterback, Tyler earned a full-ride scholarship to Kansas University, where he played on the record-setting, Orange Bowl-winning 2007 team. After graduating in just three years, he transferred to Pittsburgh State University, where he completed his master’s degree while continuing his playing career. His own experience navigating the transfer process gave him firsthand insight into the challenges that student-athletes face when making life-changing decisions about their future.

After football, Tyler earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas School of Law and is now a practicing attorney in the Kansas City legal community. His expertise in contracts, negotiations, and compliance—combined with his personal background as an athlete—makes him uniquely qualified to advocate for athletes in the NIL era.

Tyler’s passion for NIL representation started at home. As his youngest brother became one of the top offensive line recruits in the country, Tyler stepped in to help him navigate the complexities of the NIL space. As the first class of college athletes eligible for revenue-sharing payments, his brother’s experience made it clear—athletes need strong, knowledgeable representation to protect their interests and maximize their opportunities. What started as an effort to support family has grown into a mission to serve athletes across Kansas and beyond.

Today, as the founder of Lawrence Management Group, Tyler blends his championship-level playing experience, legal expertise, and deep understanding of the modern athlete experience to provide best-in-class representation. He understands what’s at stake for athletes and their families, and he’s committed to helping them build not only successful careers—but lasting legacies.

Tyler lives in the Kansas City metropolitan area with his wife and their three children under 10 years old. He is passionate about sports, family, the outdoors, and helping others navigate the evolving world of college athletics. He’s also proud to be part of a family that continues to shape the NIL industry—his brother is the co-founder of the leading NIL platform in the country.
